Need to connect to the University of Illinois VPN from an Ubuntu computer? Illinois supports a Microsoft PPTP VPN connection. CITES doesn’t provide detailed instructions for connecting from Ubuntu, but between CITES’ web help and the Ubuntu Wiki, you’re covered. University of Illinois Laptop Recovery

The University of Illinois Network Security team offers a computer registration service for campus networked devices. Registering a device used on campus increases the chances that Campus Police (with help from Network Security) can recover the device if it is stolen.
